Whitney Veigas was founded in 1981 and has been providing architectural signage design and turnkey solutions ever since.
Whitney Veigas was an early adopter of the design-build process for sign programs. Whitney Veigas has also built tools for use by the sign industry, including Identia, an online sign programming and documentation system.

In 2022, Whitney Veigas acquired Visual Communications Inc, the preeminent environmental graphic design firm in the Minneapolis—
St. Paul area.
