Pollard Library

Whitney Veigas was honored to design and supply signs for this venerable library, built in the 1890’s as a Civil War memorial. By cleverly inserting five floors for book stacks as well as a new elevator into a wing that previously had three floors, the architects were able to greatly expand the library while retaining the existing footprint.

Our solution
The ADA signs included a custom crown molding that was a scaled down version of the new door casings developed by the architect. In addition to code-required ADA signs, the program included library materials wayfinding signs such as flag mounted overhead signs and directories at the elevator. Directional signs within the new stack area and counter top blocks at circulation desks completed the sign program.
